The Staff Accountant will also be responsible for ensuring the implementation, interpretation, and application of established company accounting policies and generally accepted accounting principles.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>(The essential duties and responsibilities listed below are not all encompassing. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned consistent with business requirements.)</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements for principle business; </li><li>Conduct detailed review of Accounting / GL / Financial reporting for USSM (Ulbrich Stainless Steel and Special Metals, Inc.); </li><li>Verify business transactions and post journal entries to general ledger accounts. Perform monthly journal entry account analysis; </li><li>Perform daily review to ensure accuracy; </li><li>Reconcile internal weekly payroll tax withholding records with external tax preparation service records, property tax filings sales and tax reporting, Federal and State Income Tax work - including apportionment schedules; </li><li>Perform calculation and payment of business taxes in accordance with established schedule; </li><li>Generate 1099 forms for suppliers as required; </li><li>Perform detailed audit and analysis of expense reports and payment records; </li><li>Accounting /GL/ Financial reporting for UNE; </li><li>Budget Preparation; </li><li>Reconciliations; </li><li>Fixed Asset Reporting (manage approval process, f/a reporting, project cost </li><li>schedules) and; </li><li>Special Projects - full range of activity </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>BS degree in Accounting or Finance plus a minimum of 1 year related corporate financial experience. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze information and data skillfully and reach sound conclusions. </li><li>Demonstrated understanding of the business implication of decisions. </li><li>Must possess at minimum Intermediate MS Excel skills. </li><li>Exhibits sound and accurate judgment. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>This position offers competitive salary and benefits and the opportunity to expand your skills within a company that offers both a diverse workforce and a welcoming company culture.</p> <p>Ulbrich is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p>
