The successful candidate will be exposed to all aspects of pharmaceutical distribution, including: Logistics, Transportation, 3PL Management, Trade Compliance, & Business Systems. This exposure will also provide context into the overall pharmaceutical production process from raw material to patient.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ensuring Good Distribution Practices are followed across the GDO value chain</p> </li><li> <p>Development of shipment tenders, carrier identification, and commercial invoices</p> </li><li> <p>Logistics network reviews & software training</p> </li><li> <p>Manage international shipments & customs release</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with Third Party Logistics (3PL) managers</p> </li><li> <p>Develop an understanding of inter-/intra-company ERP transactions</p> </li><li> <p>Management of special projects as required</p> </li><li> <p>Vendor Management</p> </li><li> <p>Freight Payment Services</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>Education / Experience / Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education</p> </li><li> <p>Completed courses in Logistics, Distribution, Transportation, or Supply Chain preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Organizational Relationship/Scope:</p> <ul> <li>The Logistics Intern will report to the Sr. Director, Global Distribution Operations, and will partner with a variety of experienced functional managers throughout the internship period. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions: hybrid role; 3 days/week onsite</p> <p>Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this job.
