<p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Instruction & Curriculum:</p> </li><li> <p>Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ELA instruction aligned to Ohio Academic Content Standards and district curriculum.</p> </li><li> <p>Integrate reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills into daily lessons.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, and English Language Learners.</p> </li><li> <p>Assessment & Data:</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress.</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze assessment data to inform instruction and provide targeted interventions.</p> </li><li> <p>Classroom Environment:</p> </li><li> <p>Create a positive, respectful, and culturally responsive classroom environment conducive to learning.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement effective classroom management strategies following district and building expectations.</p> </li><li> <p>Technology Integration:</p> </li><li> <p>Incorporate technology tools and digital platforms to enhance learning and student engagement.</p> </li><li> <p>Use district-adopted Learning Management Systems (LMS) and grading platforms effectively.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaboration:</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with colleagues in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to plan instruction, analyze data, and support student achievement.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and support staff regarding student progress.</p> </li><li> <p>Professional Growth:</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in literacy instruction and pedagogy.</p> </li><li> <p>Additional Duties:</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise students in non-instructional settings as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend staff meetings, parent conferences, and school events as required.</p> </li></ul>
