LSSC Adjunct Instructors ignite the minds of our diverse student body through dynamic lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on experiences. </p> <p>Join us in shaping the future of our students by fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment based on LSSC's core values of Communication, Collaboration, Care and Celebrate!</p> <p> </p> <p>The passion for your expertise is the catalyst to a dynamic educational journey for our students and their future success.</p> <ul> <li>Plans and carries out instructional duties, which maximize learning by students. </li><li>Supervises students in accordance with program procedures, academic, and course related concerns. </li><li>Teaches assigned courses in accordance with department expectations. </li><li>Assists with registration and/or recruitment when requested. </li><li>Publishes complete syllabus to students by the first day classes begin. </li><li>Attends all scheduled or called meetings by the President, Vice President of Academic Affairs, Deans, or LSSC supervisor, unless excused by the administrator in charge. </li><li>Teaches all classes for the full period as scheduled. </li><li>Evaluates student progress and achievement with clear methods presented on course syllabus. </li><li>Keep accurate and up-to-date records. </li><li>Submit grade reports and other required data on or before deadline dates. </li><li>Resolve discipline problems within sphere of responsibility. </li><li>Assist and counsel students as needed. </li><li>Utilize material and technology necessary to accomplish designated tasks. </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of current instructional methods. </li><li>Regularly examine content of assigned courses and recommend changes to LSSC supervisor if needed. </li><li>Complies with appropriate administrative rules/regulations and Board Policy. </li><li>Participate in an annual evaluation process as specified by the Vice President of Academic Affairs. </li><li>Maintain continuity of communication with students, community, faculty, staff, and supervisors through timely replies to meeting, phone, mail, and email requests. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li><li>Adhere to all workplace safety rules, safety laws, regulations, standards and practices. </li><li>Ability to work various hours including nights, early morning and weekends. </li><li>Ability to travel amongst various campuses and attend College events, or off campus, as required. </li></ul>
