<p>Senior Industrial Engineer</p> <p>Redwood Materials is seeking an entrepreneurial Senior Industrial Engineer to support commercial scale production and process optimization. This engineer will be responsible for leading continuous improvement projects across multiple manufacturing lines and business processes.</p> <p>Responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. </li><li>Develop and implement process improvement strategies using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. </li><li>Conduct and audit time and motion studies (work measurement) to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new systems and processes. </li><li>Monitor and evaluate the performance of production systems and recommend corrective actions. </li><li>Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. </li><li>Prepare and present reports on process improvements and operational performance. </li></ul> <p>Desired qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, industrial, systems, etc). </li><li>3+ years of industrial or manufacturing engineering experience: demonstrated capability and successful implementation of improvement projects. </li><li>Prior experience developing business cases (examples: automation, operating plan changes, equipment selection, etc). </li><li>Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies. </li><li>Background in operations research (examples: linear programming, discrete event simulation, etc). Proficiency is a plus. </li><li>Prior experience with industrial scale processes and equipment. </li><li>Strong organizational and project management skills. </li><li>Detail-oriented with an analytical and structured approach to problem solving. </li><li>Experience with statistical data collection, analysis, and reporting. </li><li>Software proficiencies: Microsoft Office, 2D CAD, any linear programming software, discrete event simulation software. </li></ul>
