The IRT provides support for 17 adult, Medical/Surgical, inpatient nursing units at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital, and Methodist West Hospital.</p> <p>Why UnityPoint Health?</p> <p>At UnityPoint Health, you matter. Contributes to the maintenance of high quality, cost effective services consistent with the needs of the users and the hospital's budgetary guidelines. </li><li>Provides clinical leadership by directing, coordinating and delegating patient care in an organized manner, allowing for flexibility. </li><li>Acts as an interdepartmental liaison promoting effective multidisciplinary team work. </li><li>Collaborates with physicians and other health care team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes. </li><li>Remains competent and available to participate in patient care pertinent to clinical specialty. </li><li>Demonstrates personal and professional growth and promotes the same among team members. </li><li>Exhibits discretion and sound judgment in all aspects of the job. </li><li>Maintains awareness of applicable laws and/or regulations affecting patient care. Remains current on law/regulation changes, recognizes implications to the organization and recommends courses of action to ensure compliance. </li><li>Assists in the development of policy/procedure and guidelines for safe, efficient operation of the department as needed. </li><li>Assists in developing annual budget,and takes appropriate action when appropriate to maintain control of department financial resources. </li><li>Implements evidence based practice strategies to meet the patient care needs. Assists in the achievement of quality improvement objectives and takes necessary modifications for attainment of goals. </li><li>Interviews, orients, trains, schedules, evaluates, disciplines, and terminates staff with appropriate input. Demonstrates the ability to fairly and consistently interpret, apply and follow personnel policies/procedures. </li><li>Represents UPHDM in a professional manner. Promotes positive interpersonal relations and serves as a role model within the department and with hospital personnel. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Two years experience as a Registered Nurse. </li><li>Current Iowa license to practice as a RN. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree required. </li><li>Writes, reads and speaks fluent English. </li><li>Completion of basic management courses within one year. </li><li>Candidates must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment strength and agility test at Medium Level of Work. </li></ul>
