Conveniently located near I-80 in Waukee, this state-of-the-art, 21,000 sq. ft. ASC will offer same-day joint replacement, orthopedic, sports medicine, foot and ankle, pain management surgery and a cardiac catheterization lab in an out-patient setting. Keep reading…</p> <p>A Day in the Life of ASC Radiology Technologist</p> <p>This role will be responsible for performing radiological procedures under the direction of a physician, at a technical level. The radiologist tech will function as a scrub assistant and monitor technician during cardiac catheterization procedures. They will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply ionizing radiation for radiology diagnosis. Also performs a variety of diagnostic and interventional examinations.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Produces diagnostic radiographs of patients, within the scope of their permit. </li><li>Conforms to established department techniques and procedures by the proper selection and accurate operation of equipment, technical factors, and automatic film processing techniques. </li><li>Provides proper immobilization devices for positioning and/or transporting patients as required. </li><li>Practices sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination while assisting physician in the administration of contrast media and applies first aid as required. </li><li>Assists in the development and maintenance of exposure charts for each piece of equipment to ensure accuracy and status. Performs daily quality control. Maintains a complete record of all tests to meet with State of Iowa requirements. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Completion of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. </li><li>ARRT Registered/Eligible.
