Final offers are determined based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and other job-related considerations.</p> <p>Part-time benefits include a retirement savings plan, education discounts, and publishing discounts.</p> <p>What You Will Be Doing:</p> <p>The campus staff nurse provides high-quality compassionate care to the Moody community within a college-based Health & Wellness Center. This role supports the physical and overall well-being of students through clinical care, health education, and collaboration with campus partners while maintaining standards and compliance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act and contributes to a holistic model of care that integrates physical, emotional and preventative health.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.</p> <ul> <li>Provide clinical nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and follow-up for acute and minor illnesses and injuries </li><li>Administer medications, immunizations, and perform phlebotomy and treatments in accordance with established protocols </li><li>Assist with health screenings, physical exams, and preventive care initiatives </li><li>Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with legal and institutional standards </li><li>Collaborate with physician, and other health service staff </li><li>Assists with the annual State of Illinois Immunization Report by collecting and recording data </li><li>Refer students to appropriate services, ie. Triage, ER, Counseling, Student Resource Center, etc </li><li>Offer health education and coaching on topics such as nutrition and stress management </li><li>Ensure infection control practices and clinic safety standards are followed </li><li>Maintains clinic inventory of medication and supplies </li><li>Participate in quality improvement activities and staff meetings </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Illinois </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Nursing and graduate of an approved school of professional nursing in the USA </li><li>Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience (experience in ambulatory care, student health, or community health preferred) </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (CPR and AED) </li><li>Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with young adults </li><li>Ability to work independently and effectively in an environment that may at times have shifting and somewhat conflicting priorities </li><li>Proficiency in electronic health records and standard office software related to office operational processes </li></ul> <p>Preferred Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Interest in prevention strategies, data-informed wellness initiatives and integrative health practices </li><li>Experience in a physician's office and/or college health service </li><li>Experience in Medicat EMR software </li><li>Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding </li></ul> <p>Work Environment/Conditions:</p> <p>Moody Bible Institute is a Christian-based Higher Education and Media Ministry.
