This role focuses on acquiring vehicles directly from service customers, curbside buys, and other local sources, while ensuring each purchase meets the dealership's profitability goals and quality standards. The Vehicle Buyer will conduct appraisals, negotiate purchase terms, and work closely with the sales and service departments to identify acquisition opportunities.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Proactively seek and acquire vehicles from service customers, curb buys, and other local acquisition sources. </li><li>Conduct accurate and thorough vehicle appraisals, including market research, condition assessments, and valuation. </li><li>Negotiate purchase prices and terms with sellers to achieve dealership profitability targets. </li><li>Maintain knowledge of current market trends, wholesale values, and competitive pricing. </li><li>Work closely with service and sales teams to identify customers who may be interested in selling or trading in their vehicles. </li><li>Ensure all purchases meet the dealership's quality, reconditioning, and resale standards. </li><li>Complete all necessary purchase paperwork, documentation, and title transfers in a timely and accurate manner. </li><li>Maintain detailed records of acquisition activities, purchase history, and appraisals. </li><li>Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and local contacts to expand sourcing opportunities. </li><li>Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly acquisition goals. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Previous automotive buying, sales, or appraisal experience preferred. </li><li>Strong negotiation and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to assess vehicle condition and market value accurately. </li><li>Knowledge of dealership operations, used vehicle reconditioning, and resale processes. </li><li>Proficient with appraisal tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. </li><li>Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently. </li><li>Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. </li><li>Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Competitive Compensation Plans </li><li>Full Benefits Package </li><li>Medical, Dental & Vision </li><li>401k with Company Match </li><li>HSA with Company Contribution </li><li>PTO </li><li>Growth and Advancement Opportunities </li><li>Continuous Training and Development </li></ul>
