<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Athletics/Band, Marching Band/Color Guard Director, High School</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>1/27/2026</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>New London High School Multi Magnet Campus</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>POSITION OVERVIEW: Provide instruction to the students of the Marching Band program.</p> <p>TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Provides instruction in marching techniques and drill performance. </li><li>As required, provides coaching of instrumental sections of the band. </li><li>Travels with the marching band to competitions and away games as designated by the marching band director. </li><li>Performs such other related duties as the Principal may from time to time assign. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Experienced in contemporary marching band or drum corps style field performances. </li><li>Competency in either brass or woodwind instruction (as determined by the marching band instructor on an annual basis.) </li><li>Experience in contemporary drill writing. </li><li>Such other qualifications as the Board may deem advisable. </li></ul> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year as determined by the New London Board of Education.</p> <p>New London Public School District is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.</p> <p>Candidates from diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply.</p>
