<p>Job Description</p> <p>BAE Systems is a leading global defense, security, and aerospace company, delivering innovative solutions to protect our customers and their communities.</p> <p>Join Our Team:</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a DevOps team, supporting the development of a large, complex enterprise system.</p> <p>As a DevOps Software Engineer you will play a critical role in streamlining software build, test, and release activities, leveraging agile principles and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.</p> <p>We are looking for a dedicated software engineer to support DevOps activities as part of an agile development team. The successful candidate will work on a variety of DevOps tasks, with a strong focus on automation and efficient software delivery. You will be responsible for managing tools, integrating project functions, identifying manual processes, and implementing automation to improve efficiency.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Manage tools that support software development, deployment, and integrated testing </li><li>Integrate project functions and resources across the full product lifecycle </li><li>Identify manual processes and implement automation to improve efficiency </li><li>Select, configure, and maintain appropriate CI/CD tools </li><li>Implement and support development, testing, and automation tools while optimizing the underlying IT infrastructure </li><li>Ensure that all system changes and improvements maintain required security standards </li><li>Design, build, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, delivery, and deployment </li><li>Demonstrate persistence and ownership when facing challenges, with a strong commitment to program goals </li><li>Collaborate with and assist team members across the program, as needed, to achieve shared objectives </li></ul> <p>#LI-PB2</p> <p>Required Education, Experience, & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Must possess a TS/SCI clearance with appropriate polygraph </li><li>At least 8 years of relevant DevOps experience. </li><li>Must have at least 5 years of experience managing tools that support software development, deployment, and integrated testing. </li><li>Must have at least 5 years of experience working with CI/CD frameworks. </li><li>Must have meaningful system administration experience (primarily Windows, with some Linux). </li><li>Must have experience with several of the following: Java, Groovy, Python, PowerShell, Batch, Bash scripting, JavaScript, and AngularJS. Must have experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Rhapsody, and WebStorm. </li><li>Must have experience with software source control and configuration management tools. </li><li>Must have experience working in a virtualized environment, including managing virtual machines (VMs). </li><li>Must have experience with container-based platforms used for automated application deployment. </li><li>Must be motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn new techniques and technologies, while adhering to best practices in test automation. </li><li>Must have a strong understanding of sound software development principles and practices. </li><li>Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. </li><li>Must be an independent thinker capable of producing high-quality work, both individually and as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment. </li></ul> <p>MDOPSPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. </li><li>Experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL Server. </li><li>Experience with web application user interface development, database design and structures, Spring Framework, and working with technologies such as AngularJS, JSON, HTML, XML, and XSLT. </li><li>Experience with Scrum and/or the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), SAFe Agilist certification, or prior experience as a member of an Agile team. </li></ul> <p>Pay Information</p> <p>Full-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317</p> <p>Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
