<p>Hardware engineer intern will develop, improve, and maintain custom solutions supporting the reverse logistics refurbishment processes and test networks supporting Arvato's global customers.</p> <p>Your Tasks</p> <ul> <li>You independently develop hardware components and construct testing adapters with functional components sourced from vendors or manufactured in house. </li><li>You define the layout for electronic circuits. </li><li>You program controllers, electronics and aide supporting hardware-related software. </li><li>You conscientiously follow the continuous development, optimization and testing of the devices. </li><li>Developing and maintain test hardware that contains: steppers/servos/controllers, linkages/arms/actuators, microcontrollers, Arduino, raspberry pi, Linux commands. </li><li>PC and network knowledge, windows management, imaging, networks, USB device troubleshooting, router/network setup, TCP/IP knowledge. </li><li>Electrical troubleshooting of PCB's and panels, AC/DC knowledge, use of multimeter, various sensors like but not limited to, proximity switches, microphones & cameras. </li><li>Mechanical knowledge, use of hand/power tools, assembly/disassembly, identifying physical wear issues. </li></ul> <p>Your Profile</p> <ul> <li>Working on your degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable qualification </li><li>Junior or senior in your program </li><li>Broad-based basic electrical engineering knowledge, sound specialist knowledge in the fields of analogue and digital technology, embedded microcontrollers and EMC-compliant design and layout as well as knowledge of robotics, prototype construction, 3D printing, precision engineering, sensor technology and mechatronic disciplines </li><li>Knowledge of programming in C, C++, C# and firmware development desirable </li><li>Analytical skills, creativity, passion for development, initiative, strong communication and teamwork skills and ability to adapt quickly to the needs of the departments </li><li>Performing variety of duties as required </li><li>Flexibility Based on Business Needs: work overtime, holidays, weekends, different shifts, and different areas of the warehouse </li><li>The ability to create instructions, processes, and procedures </li><li>Knowledge of CAD, Fusion 360, MS office products, preferred. </li><li>SAP experience, preferred </li><li>Multilingual in Spanish and/or German, a plus </li></ul> <p>We Offer</p> <ul> <li>Experience relevant to your field of study. </li><li>Taking ownership of impactful projects that contributes to the company's success. </li><li>Receiving guidance and mentorship from leaders. </li><li>Opportunites for employee engagement and continuous learning. </li></ul> <p>Nearest Major Market: Louisville</p> <p>Job Segment: Testing, Hardware Engineer, Logistics, Entry Level Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Technology, Engineering, Operations</p>
