<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Temporary, live-in positions from July 3 - July 12, 2025.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>A summer pre-college program Residence Hall Head Counselor is responsible for providing supervision and guidance to students who stay overnight in Ithaca College residence halls, including the Summer Piano Institute counselors.</p> <p>Duties include ensuring the physical safety and overall well-being of participants; checking-in with students and counselors at each meal; assisting with a daily recreation activity; assisting with field trips; assisting faculty, as needed; storing and administering prescription medication as per the guidelines of the Tompkins County Health Department; serving as a role model for students both personally and professionally; and keeping the Faculty Director advised of any conflicts, accidents and disciplinary problems in the residence hall. Advanced piano skills are required.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Candidates should express genuine interest in working with a diverse group of students in a residence hall environment and have a basic understanding of human, social, and educational development. Candidates with prior experience working with youth in a camp environment, a history of providing leadership to a variety of age groups, and the ability to foster the development of a community through a variety of methods preferred. All counselors are required to attend a health and safety meeting and be able to practice and adhere to the methods and guidelines as stated in the Ithaca College Safety and Medical Plan. Preference will be given to current Ithaca College students and alumni.</p> <p>Candidate must be at least 25 years of age.</p> <p>Compensation</p> <p>Salary of $2,324 for 10 days</p> <p>Instructions to Apply</p> <p>Interested individuals should apply online at?https://www.ithaca.edu/human-resources/prospective-faculty-staff/.
