<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>POSITION OVERVIEW Under the general supervision of the Athletic Director, instructs student-athletes in the fundamentals of Middle School Volleyball, preparing them for competition. The head coach supervises and coordinates all levels of the specific sports program and is responsible for coordinating all administrative, financial requests, and personnel aspects of the program. Reports to: Athletic Director Supervises: Assistant Coaches To be considered for this position submit the following: - Letter of introduction or cover letter - Letters of Recommendation: 2 required, do not submit more than 2 - Resume - Statement of Faith Qualified candidates will be contacted for personal interviews. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Administer and oversee all levels and functions of the volleyball program. Develop and maintain a high-quality program founded on sound principles of the sport, strong team values, hard work, commitment, loyalty, honesty, respect, and sportsmanship, all to the glory to Jesus. Establish the fundamental philosophy, skills, and techniques to be taught by the staff. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with school policies and applicable laws. Develop off-season training programs and summer opportunities. Submit budget requests, purchasing, and expenditures. Maintain an inventory as well as the wellbeing of our current equipment and uniforms. Communicate program information to school administration, students, parents, and the community. Coordinate fundraising activities with the Athletic Director In conjunction with the athletic department, organize the annual end-of-season banquet. Coordinate transportation needs, ensure all drivers comply with school policy. Assist in the development of sports schedules and facility usage. Recommend policy, method, or procedural changes with the Athletic Director. Awareness of athletic and occupational hazards and safety precautions.
