<p>Amphenol PCD seeks a hands-on, detail-oriented, and safety-focused manager for an engineering laboratory. APCD is building a new laboratory facility to grow our technical capabilities, and this role will play a key part in supporting that strategic growth.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Lead day-to-day testing operations in the new laboratory facility, supervising and working alongside engineers and technicians </li><li>Ensure safe and complaint operations </li><li>Develop lab capabilities (equipment, process, staff) and alignment with business growth and strategy </li></ul> <p>Testing and Technical Execution</p> <ul> <li>Design test setups and fixtures </li><li>Develop Qualification Test Procedures (QTPs) </li><li>Execute mechanical and electrical testing </li><li>Analyze outcomes and failures and perform root cause analysis and associated design enhancements </li><li>Implement automated data acquisition where practical </li><li>Additional duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Cross-Functional Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Support design reviews </li><li>Implement corrective actions </li><li>Standardize verification and validation practices globally </li><li>Work with global testing team (Support labs in Shenzhen, China, and Pune, India) </li><li>Additional duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>People leadership </li><li>Laboratory testing experience including lab capability development </li><li>Hands-on mechanical aptitude </li><li>Data acquisition hard- and software </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sound problem-solving skills, attention to detail, methodical and well organized </li><li>Knowledge of rapid prototyping/additive manufacturing methods and techniques </li><li>Computer literacy with MS Office suite </li></ul> <p>Designed Skills/Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of electromechanical testing in accordance with industry and military standards (MIL-STD, DO-160, EIA, IEC, etc.) </li><li>Experience with environmental, mechanical, and electrical testing </li><li>Experience with CREO and/or Solidworks CAD systems </li></ul> <p>Education Requirement:</p> <ul> <li>BSME, or equivalent work experience </li></ul> <p>The base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $135,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
