<p>Triton Regional School District is looking for a Social Worker/School Adjustment Counselor with an LICSW or an LMHC to work in the district's therapeutic program at the elementary level. This program services students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The candidate will work closely with the program teacher and BCBA to collect and utilize data to develop self-regulation plans, develop IEP goals, implement corresponding instruction, and monitor progress. The ideal candidate should have experience in the area of behavior management of emotionally dysregulated elementary age students.</p> <p>Experience, training, and responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of special education laws and regulations that govern the identification of children with disabilities; </li><li>Experience working with students who are struggling with emotional/behavioral disorders and self-regulation; </li><li>Knowledge and experience in the implementation of behavior management plans; </li><li>Knowledge and experience in behavior intervention strategies and how these strategies align with counseling goals and delivering therapeutic support; </li><li>Strong positive interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with students, staff, administration and families; </li><li>Highly effective oral and written communication skills that promote and encourage collaboration with colleagues, parents, and administrators; </li><li>Ability to multitask and work within a fast-paced environment; </li><li>Ability to accept feedback and action steps provided by consultants; </li><li>Highly effective executive functioning skills including being well-organized, strong time management skills, and able to work independently to meet timelines; </li><li>Experience with and commitment to inclusion that benefits students socially, emotionally and academically; </li><li>Experience with varied profiles and disabilities including but not limited to mild/moderate academic learning disabilities, emotional impairment, including significant emotional dysregulation, attention/hyperactivity, autism, social cognition, and other atypical learner profiles; </li><li>Routinely attend district and school based meetings; </li><li>Routinely attend district and school based training and professional development; </li><li>Willingness to participate in crisis prevention training; </li><li>Develop and Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and write progress notes; </li><li>Oversee the implementation of Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavioral Intervention Plans; </li><li>Collaborate with the district BCBA, school psychologist, special education and general education teachers regarding behavior and mental health supports; </li><li>Experience with group or 1:1 counseling in a school setting; </li><li>Assist families in obtaining outside resources and agencies for support; </li><li>Educate and support teachers and staff on issues related to social-emotional learning. </li></ul>
