<p>Job Description Summary:</p> <p>Aviagen Turkeys seeks a Project Laborer for the Lewisburg, WV operations. A Project Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks at a construction site. Their duties include loading and unloading building materials, assembling scaffolding or other pieces of equipment and utilizing powered hand tools throughout the construction process. This position is full-time, hourly, non-exempt. The successful candidate will report to the Project Manager, and will work at various sites in Monroe County and Greenbrier County in WV.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Employees must undergo a criminal background check and pass a drug test.</p> <p>Employees cannot own poultry or swine.</p> <p>Duties include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Cleaning and preparing construction sites.</p> </li><li> <p>Loading and unloading materials and equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Building and taking down scaffolding and temporary structures.</p> </li><li> <p>Digging trenches, compacting earth and backfilling holes.</p> </li><li> <p>Operating and tending machinery and equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties</p> </li><li> <p>Installing poultry equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Installing PVC plumbing materials</p> </li><li> <p>Caulking floor and wall seams</p> </li><li> <p>Comply with Company Bio-Security Rules and Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, Animal Welfare Policies and all other Procedures and Standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhering to all safety initiatives helping to maintain a zero-accident culture.</p> </li><li> <p>Performing other duties as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Requirements:</p> </li><li> <p>Cannot own poultry or swine</p> </li><li> <p>Must pass a drug test and undergo a background check.</p> </li><li> <p>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to operate related equipment and tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Must work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess basic construction skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Must have reliable transportation.</p> </li><li> <p>Be able to lift up to 75lbs.</p> </li><li> <p>Have a positive attitude.</p> </li><li> <p>Be willing to learn.</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills: Medium-duty equipment operator skills; OSHA, or other trade-related certifications</p>
