Made Possible.</p> <p>Maintenance Specialist</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Safely works together with Industrial Maintenance Mechanics to make sure that all building, equipment, and machines are running properly; troubleshoots issues by observing mechanical/electrical devices in operation; removes defective parts by dismantling devices; uses hoists, cranes, hand, and power tools; examines form and texture of parts; determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; documents all maintenance activity. Understanding and aligning business operations through execution of the role while meeting or exceeding customer expectations and aligning with GPI's business, cultural, financial, and operation objectives.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of specialized industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, required </li><li>Thorough knowledge of basic industrial electricity, high and low voltage, and AC/DC currents </li><li>Thorough knowledge of mechanical components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes </li><li>Possess basic hand tools to complete most tasks; specialized tools will be provided </li><li>Experience and ability reading blueprints and technical diagrams </li><li>Basic mathematical skills including all units of measure, fractions, and decimals </li><li>Takes direction well and can read and comprehend complex detailed instructions and correspondence, delivered verbally and written </li><li>Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with all levels of personnel (both individually and in a team environment). Must be able to interface and communicate with line operators and facility personnel to assist with repairs and troubleshooting </li><li>Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision </li><li>Maintains a positive team environment </li><li>Demonstrates organizational skills and is very detail oriented </li><li>Experience and ability to work in a fast-pace, multi-task manufacturing environment </li></ul> <p>DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:</p> <ul> <li>Work within and adhere to GPI's core values of Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships and Teamwork </li><li>Ensure production and distribution of products consistent with established food safety, sanitation, and quality standards </li><li>Maintain 5S in assigned area by keeping work area and equipment clean and orderly </li><li>Manage workload as necessary to ensure production requirements are met </li><li>Perform scheduled, unscheduled, and preventive maintenance (PM) on a variety of machines </li><li>Maintain and repair water, gas, air, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems </li><li>Operate industrial lifts (i.e., boom, scissor lifts, etc.) </li><li>Perform PM functions, per the PM regimen or as directed; lubricate assigned mechanical equipment at specified intervals; Maintain checklists, lubrication lists on other related records as required </li><li>Install, test, adjust, and repair mechanical systems, electrical systems, and equipment in the facility and warehouses </li><li>Make necessary measurements, estimate materials required, and requisition supplies as needed through the shift supervisor/manager </li><li>Perform root cause analysis when problems arise to determine if immediate actions can be taken, or appropriate personnel need to be involved in the process </li><li>Use computer software to manage length of repair time, repair history, and to inquire about parts information </li><li>Work at heights and in overhead structures, work beneath machines and in close quarters or confined spaces, performing analysis and repair work </li><li>Maintain work system tools </li><li>Follow maintenance schedule and completes necessary reports. </li><li>Maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment. </li><li>Once qualified, instruct and train other Industrial Maintenance Specialists and other maintenance personnel in all aspects of their respective positions </li><li>Notify the Maintenance Group Leader, Maintenance Supervisors, and/or the Engineering/Maintenance Manager of any issues that arise beyond the scope of the Industrial Maintenance Specialist's duties </li><li>Inform appropriate management, operators, and line mechanics of potential mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved </li><li>Communicate effectively with oncoming shifts and all departments </li><li>Actively participates in daily team production meetings - communicate key items within the plant environment on safety, quality, maintenance, production, and continuous improvement. </li><li>Meet required Key Performance Metrics </li><li>Fulfill overtime requirements as necessary </li><li>Fulfill other duties as assigned; assisting in other areas as required by changing business needs </li></ul> <p>GPI's Benefit Program</p> <ul> <li> <p>Competitive Pay</p> </li><li> <p>401(k) w/employer matching</p> </li><li> <p>Health & Welfare Benefits</p> </li><li> <p>Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage</p> </li><li> <p>Short and Long-Term Disability</p> </li><li> <p>Life Insurance</p> </li><li> <p>Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance</p> </li><li> <p>Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts</p> </li><li> <p>Various Voluntary benefits</p> </li><li> <p>Adoption Assistance Program</p> </li><li> <p>Employee Discount Programs</p> </li><li> <p>Employee Assistance Program</p> </li><li> <p>Tuition Assistance Program</p> </li><li> <p>Paid Time Off + 11 paid company holidays each year</p> </li></ul> <p>Applications accepted on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.</p> <p>Graphic Packaging is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
