<p>HR Compliance Specialist</p> <p>Hybrid - South San Francisco, CA</p> <p>Location: South San Francisco, CA</p> <p>Schedule: Full-Time | Non-Exempt</p> <p>Department: Human Resources</p> <p>Reports to: HR Leadership</p> <p>Pay Range: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour</p> <p>Make a Meaningful Impact</p> <p>Aspiranet, a leading California nonprofit serving children, youth, and families, is seeking a detail-driven HR Compliance Specialist to support workforce compliance and regulatory operations.</p> <p>This role is essential in maintaining compliance across multiple regulatory agencies while ensuring timely onboarding, accurate records, and audit readiness.</p> <p>? At Aspiranet, every role contributes to something greater-to help create a future where opportunity, hope, and healing are within everyone's reach.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The HR Compliance Specialist ensures compliance with employee driving records, background clearances, credential verification, and workforce reporting.</p> <p>This role partners with internal teams and external agencies to maintain accurate data, resolve compliance issues, and support audits and reporting requirements.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Compliance & Oversight</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with DMV, Community Care Licensing, CDSS, DOJ, and Joint Commission requirements </li><li>Monitor regulatory updates and maintain compliant processes </li></ul> <p>Background Checks & Clearances</p> <ul> <li>Manage criminal background clearance processes and resolve delays </li><li>Maintain Guardian system records and fingerprinting documentation </li></ul> <p>DMV & Driving Records</p> <ul> <li>Oversee DMV Pull Notice Program and employee driving compliance </li><li>Review records, investigate discrepancies, and issue notifications </li></ul> <p>Credentialing & Verification</p> <ul> <li>Process degree verifications and conduct SSN/license validations </li><li>Review out-of-state candidate documentation </li></ul> <p>Reporting & Data Management</p> <ul> <li>Maintain compliance records and support EEO-1 and CA Pay Data reporting </li><li>Assist with workforce reporting and audits </li></ul> <p>HR Operations Support</p> <ul> <li>Process wage increases and support HR initiatives </li><li>Handle confidential information with discretion </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience </li><li>Compliance, licensing, or regulated environment experience preferred </li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems (UKG a plus) </li><li>Excellent communication and ability to manage sensitive data </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Hybrid role with 2 days onsite in South San Francisco.
