This location, combined with our benefits, provides a unique advantage for those looking to thrive in the semiconductor industry.</p> <p>Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer (Staggered Shift)</p> <p>Location: Newark, CA</p> <p>Department: Manufacturing Engineering</p> <p>Reports to: VP, Manufacturing Operations</p> <p>Job Overview</p> <p>The Manufacturing Engineer develops, implements, and optimizes manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production. This role supports new product introductions, drives process improvements, and partners with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product transitions from design to manufacturing.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Process Development & Improvement</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement manufacturing methods, workflows, and production controls in line with specifications and quality standards. </li><li>Recommend and execute improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. </li><li>Design, develop, or source tools, fixtures, and equipment to support manufacturing needs. </li></ul> <p>New Product Introduction (NPI)</p> <ul> <li>Lead the transition of products from design to manufacturing. </li><li>Collaborate with product engineering and customers to ensure design-for-manufacturability (DFM). </li><li>Train production teams and evaluate results for new/revised product launches. </li></ul> <p>Cost & Tooling Analysis</p> <ul> <li>Estimate manufacturing costs, labor requirements, and tooling needs. </li><li>Create manufacturing labor quotes and NRE estimates. </li><li>Manage Engineering/Manufacturing Change Orders (ECO/MCO) and coordinate implementation with production. </li></ul> <p>Documentation & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation including BOMs, process instructions, and change orders. </li><li>Track and report on process performance, quality, and efficiency metrics. </li></ul> <p>Cross-Functional Support & Training</p> <ul> <li>Analyze processes to identify cost reduction and quality improvement opportunities. </li><li>Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action initiatives. </li><li>Provide technical training and guidance to production supervisors, leads, and operators. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience. </li><li>3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in electronics or mechanical production. </li><li>Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, DFM, and process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ). </li><li>Experience with PCB/PCBA manufacturing, mechanical fabrication, and quality inspection techniques. </li><li>Proficiency in documentation control (BOMs, ECO/MCO, PCBA documentation). </li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. </li><li>Advanced Microsoft Office skills. </li></ul>
