<p>Plant Accountant Responsibilities include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Perform month-end closing activities per the published closing schedule. </li><li>Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for all accounting areas as required. </li><li>Daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting to the local team </li><li>Monitor and manage all aspects of the plant's perpetual inventories to ensure no shortages occur. </li><li>Analyze various balance sheet, income instatement and expense accounts, and reconcile differences. </li><li>Perform monthly intercompany invoicing and reconcile intercompany month end balances, investigate differences. </li><li>Prepare monthly reconciliation of employee benefits and investigate/resolve variances. </li><li>Perform monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts. </li><li>Payroll funding posting and reconciliation of related general ledger accounts. </li><li>Posting of hourly labor charge outs to projects. </li><li>Review and resolve open items on the unconfirmed accounts payable report on a timely basis. </li><li>Assist with external and internal audits. </li><li>Recommend, lead, and implement continuous improvement initiatives </li><li>Assist with maintaining financial systems and ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory authorities. </li><li>All other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field </li><li>Experience: 1+ years' of general accounting experience </li></ul> <p>TRAVEL:</p> <ul> <li>Travel Required: minimum </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlooksoft, MFG PRO/QAD or similar ERP experience. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Strong experience in creating/reviewing annual/monthly/weekly budgets and forecasts. </li><li>Hands on experience in month closing process. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple and one-time projects with urgency and confidentiality. </li><li>Willingness to be flexible and work a demanding schedule. </li><li>Ability to be creative and lead change in a dynamic environment. </li><li>Goal oriented and work well in a team environment. </li><li>Organized and detail-oriented </li></ul>
