The Maintenance Apprenticeship Program includes on site hands-on training in addition to any necessary external classroom training.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Adhere to EH&S policy endorsed by the local management, comply with the legal and other requirements and operational controls established under its EHS Management System (EHSMS), work toward achieving established objectives and targets, and conform to procedures consistent with ISO and OHSAS standards. An employee should report and, if necessary, stop any activity that does not conform to the policy or may injure himself/herself. </li><li>Follows and promote all safety practices; give proactive attention to safety, reporting all issues, and keeping work area clean and healthy per 5S standards. Inspect all equipment prior to use and report any discrepancies immediately. </li><li>Performs according to the company's core values. </li><li>Understands how his/her role affects customer satisfaction and product safety. </li><li>Follows all work instructions, both written and verbal, along with direction from Team Leader, Supervisor or Value Stream Manager. </li><li>Under supervision, duties include the following: machinery installation, machine repair, and physical structure repair work; electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fabrication, welding, and equipment troubleshooting </li><li>Utilizes and reads precision measuring devices, circuit diagrams and mechanical blueprints. </li><li>Under supervision, provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production </li><li>Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. </li><li>Performs simple machinist duties and responsibilities. </li><li>Detects faulty operations, defective materials and reports to appropriate leadership.
