Past interns have worked on new ingredient development projects to bring new food ingredients to market and Customer application projects to test how Grande ingredients work in different product applications both domestically and for international regions. The intern will develop skills that are based in food science knowledge to learn how new ingredients are developed and then positioned for customer success in relevant application spaces such as soups, sauces, beverages, convenience, etc. A project will be chosen and assigned to the intern to complete over the course of their internship. Interns in this role will further develop their skills and network in new product development and applications.</p> <p>Unique Benefits of our Internship Program:</p> <ul> <li>You will get the farm to fork experience during this program. You will experience a farm tour, facility tours, and experience the end user products. </li><li>Networking events where you will meet executives and community leaders. </li><li>Internship group outings and events. </li><li>Volunteer opportunities within the community. </li><li>Personal development events and training. </li></ul> <p>While you don't have to love pizza to work here…it sure does help!</p> <p>What you need to be considered for the role:</p> <ul> <li>Student in Sophomore or greater status working towards a degree in a science or engineering related field. </li><li>Interest in Research and Development with a focus on New Product Development, Sensory Analysis and or Microbiology. </li><li>Mature, positive outlook with ability to focus on multiple duties across different areas </li><li>Advanced Word and Excel skills- particularly graphing, table manipulation, and some statistical application </li><li>Strong math skills with some exposure to statistics </li><li>Strong work ethic, self-starter </li><li>Able to maintain confidentiality </li></ul>
