The PACE Program is a full-day special education program within the Littleton Public Schools that comprehensively addresses the needs of students, focusing on the primary areas of Communication, Social Development, Content Area Instruction, Functional Skills, and Adaptive Behavior. The PACE Program provides opportunities for highly structured direct instruction as well as inclusion in larger groups for social and academic instruction in order to address functional and socially significant goals. The program promotes generalization of skills to the general education environment that aligns with the student's ability.</p> <ul> <li>Individual and small group academic instruction </li><li>Implement student plans for services as outlined by their Individual Education Programs </li><li>Work collaboratively with a team to support students </li><li>Assist students with assistive technology and augmentative communication </li><li>Provide behavior/therapeutic support under the direction of the special education teacher and clinical staff (BCBA, psychologist, counselor, etc.) </li><li>Assist students in toileting/diapering </li><li>Work with students on prerequisite skills and skill acquisition </li><li>Maintain confidentiality regarding all personal information regarding children, families, and staff </li><li>Data collection </li><li>Monitor student performance and provide feedback and prompts when needed </li><li>Provide services under the supervision of the special education teacher, building administrator, or supervising staff. </li></ul>
