The Transporter's primary job function is to transport patients to/from Medical Imaging testing and other treatment/procedure areas as needed and monitor patent holding area.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required </li></ul> <p>Licensure:</p> <ul> <li>BLS required within three months of hire, or as soon as arrangements can be made </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Previous patient care or Radiology experience preferred </li></ul> <p>JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS</p> <p>The following is a summary of the major job duties of this job. Specific activities may change from time to time.</p> <ul> <li>Performs patient transport to and from requesting department,inputs information into RIS. </li><li>Assist technologist with patient positioning. </li><li>Maintains effective communication with departments regarding requested patients' transportation, including any delays </li><li>Monitors and orders 02 supplies, completes daily safety check-off list which includes monitoring of blanket warmer temperatures. </li><li>Maintains knowledge of equipment and computer systems. </li><li>Monitors patients while in patient holding area. </li><li>Behaves in a professional manner (includes not abusing telephone/internet privileges, breaks, socializing and being consistently punctual, etc.).
