<p>Responsibilities for this Position</p> <p>Audit & Compliance Analyst</p> <p>US-CT-Groton</p> <p>Job ID: 2026-18300</p> <p>Type: Full-Time</p> <p># of Openings: 1</p> <p>Category: Accounting/Finance</p> <p>EB Groton Shipyard</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>This individual will be a member of the Electric Boat (EB) Controller group and will report to the Chief of Financial Audit & Compliance.</p> <p>Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with EB SOX Ownership and Internal Audit (IA) Points of Contact (POC), interfacing with all levels of management in a comprehensive environment; </li><li>Work closely with outside audit firm teams supporting SOX, IA, and financial statement substantive audit procedures; </li><li>Prepare various deliverables including but not limited to quarterly Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting, quarterly Control Self-Assessment certifications, and close out of IA management action plans; </li><li>On-board new SOX Process & Control owners; </li><li>Support the vetting of potential SOX and IA exceptions and observations and work with owners and POCs to remediate and close the risk gap; </li><li>Support the SOX scoping process, assessing risks to generate adequate coverage and risk mitigation; </li><li>Gain understanding of in-scope systems and tools, and their impact over control performance; </li><li>Facilitate Sox and IA changes into the EB process; </li><li>Recommend potential IA topic resulting in operational improvement and reduction of business impact risk; </li><li>Attend meetings and oversee communication to facilitate liaison function between audit and EB; </li><li>Drive audit direction to reduce owner burden, mitigate risk, and optimize results; </li><li>Support periodic presentations and other deliverables including but not limited to: Balance Sheet review, Risk Assessment, SOX narratives, and information produced by entity (IPE); </li><li>Research internal policies for compliance with technical accounting regulations including GAAP, FASB, ASC, COSO; </li><li>Coordinate all related audit logistics including on-site security requirements, walk-through meetings, system access, and other services; </li><li>Drive automated innovation into SOX and IA execution including but not limited to: Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Alteryx, PowerBI, and iGel assets; </li><li>Knowledge of Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems and processes; </li><li>Conduct GRC audits and collaborate with key business teams; </li><li>Assess Oracle GRC control environment and personnel permission changes for vulnerability gaps; </li><li>Present SOX and/or IA topics to various audiences; </li><li>Execute special projects requested by EB leadership; </li><li>Attend annual GD internal controls conference in Reston VA. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Strong communication and ability to work in a collaborative environment; </li><li>Understanding of SOX, IA, and auditing & accounting regulatory requirements; </li><li>Analyze, communicate, and document financial audit issues and potential solutions; </li><li>Proficiency in Oracle, MS Office, and GRC tools; </li><li>Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload; </li><li>Knowledge of government contracting business model and related accounting practices; </li><li>Strong adherence to ethical behaviors. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>CPA </li><li>Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field </li><li>Bachelors degree in Accounting </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience with SOX and Internal Audit </li><li>Big Four Accounting firm audit experience </li><li>Experience in Government Contracting and/or Aerospace and Defense industry </li></ul>
