<p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or PA to join our growing behavioral health team. The APP or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to formulate accurate diagnoses</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapeutic interventions</p> </li><li> <p>Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects</p> </li><li> <p>Provide trauma-informed psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups to address mental health challenges and promote resilience</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate effectively with our primary care providers, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated whole person care</p> </li><li> <p>Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing and improving overall well-being</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation</p> </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Strong medical decision-making skills</p> </li><li> <p>Displaying a caring and professional attitude at all times</p> </li><li> <p>Documenting in a timely and thorough manner</p> </li></ul> <p>SCHEDULE DETAILS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Schedule Details: Monday - Friday</p> </li><li> <p>Hospitals covered: AH Orlando</p> </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or APRN or PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner)</p> </li><li> <p>Geriatric or Memory Care experience preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, REGISTRATION:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license</p> </li><li> <p>BLS & ACLS</p> </li><li> <p>DEA License</p> </li></ul> <p>Category: Physician Services</p> <p>Req ID: 147552619</p>
