As an equal opportunity employer, we offer a team-oriented, collaborative work environment for close to 400 employees at eight different locations in Rutland and southern Addison counties.</p> <p>ABOUT THE ROLE:</p> <p>Community Health seeks a per diem retail pharmacist for Brandon Community Pharmacy located in our Brandon clinic.</p> <p>Under general supervision of pharmacy manager, and in accordance with standard department procedures, the pharmacist will dispense patient medications.</p> <p>FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE:</p> <ul> <li>Review, interpret, input and accurately dispense medications </li><li>Perform drug therapy reviews and medication management </li><li>Counsel patients and answer questions regarding medications, services, and disease management </li><li>Blister pack medications </li><li>Maintain current knowledge and skills related to pharmacy and healthcare </li><li>Obtain necessary certifications, education credits and trainings </li><li>Maintain proper drug storage and security </li><li>Answer telephones and respond to questions or requests </li><li>Maintain records appropriate for recall purposes and inventory of stock items </li><li>Assist with and ensure accuracy of third-party claims </li><li>Provide strong customer service skills at all times with patients, employees, pharmacists and other service providers </li><li>Develop and maintain good relationships with patients, staff members, medical professionals and community stakeholders </li><li>Assist and support pharmacy manager with general pharmacy tasks </li><li>Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians </li><li>Promote teamwork and motivate team members </li><li>Support and comply with Community Health and Brandon Community Pharmacy values and expectations </li><li>Ensure pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations, policies and standards </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science Degree in pharmacy or pharmacist degree from an accredited educational institution; PharmD preferred </li><li>Keyboard and computer literacy skills required </li><li>Must be licensed and in good standing as a Pharmacist in the state of Vermont </li><li>1-2 years of experience preferred </li></ul> <p>HOW WE SUPPORT YOU:</p> <ul> <li>Work Life Balance </li><li>Generous Time Off </li><li>Comprehensive Wellness Program </li></ul> <p>#CHjobs</p>
