Providing comprehensive inpatient services as GI Hospitalist for the full spectrum of gastrointestinal diseases</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>MD/DO Degree</p> <p>3+ years of specialty training from an accredited program; 3+ yrs. of experience practicing as a Gastroenterologist preferred Experienced in hospital medicine with complex patients</p> <p>Other Credentials:</p> <p>NJ & PA licenses. No</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Conduct regular consultations with patients to understand their health conditions and symptoms related to the gastrointestinal tract </li><li>Order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as endoscopies, colonoscopies and biopsies to identify diseases </li><li>Diagnose conditions like gastritis, peptic ulcers, gallstones, liver disease, and cancers of the digestive system </li><li>Prescribe and administer treatment which may include medication, lifestyle and dietary changes </li><li>Perform specialized procedures for treatment, such as polyp removal or treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding </li><li>Directing nurses, residents, or other staff. </li><li>Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care </li><li>Stay updated on the latest research and advancements the field </li><li>Adhere to privacy regulations and maintain patient confidentiality </li><li>Document and maintain accurate medical records for all patients </li><li>Provide patient education for managing and understanding their conditions </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>Frequent physical demands include: Standing , Walking , Bending , Reaching forward , Wrist position deviation , Pinching/fine motor activities , Keyboard use/repetitive motion</p> <p>Occasional physical demands include: Sitting , Climbing (e.g., stairs or ladders) , Carry objects , Push/Pull , Twisting , Reaching overhead , Squat/kneel/crawl , Taste or Smell</p> <p>Continuous physical demands include: Talk or Hear</p> <p>Lifting Floor to Waist 10 lbs.
