Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Maintaining cell cultures and generation of DNA constructs </li><li>Performing flow cytometry, examining protein interactions, and the study of gene function using molecular and cellular assays in close collaboration with the PI </li><li>Assisting with the mouse colony (breeding, genotyping, and performing procedures) </li><li>Processing patient blood and other samples for the division's biobank </li><li>Responsible for ordering and organizing of reagents </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications*</p> <p>Intermediate Technician Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, life sciences, medical technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience </li><li>1-2 years of experience </li><li>Experience with molecular biology techniques and cell culture </li><li>Sufficient experience and comfort level with mouse handling and experiment </li><li>Proactive, have excellent time management skills, and be meticulous in record keeping </li><li>Ability to work independently and take initiative to problem solve </li><li>Excellent attendance, ability to prioritize appropriately and exercise good judgment </li><li>Compliance with University research policies and procedures </li></ul> <p>Associate Technician Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or Associate's degree </li><li>1 year of experience </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications*</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in performance of standard laboratory procedures </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and proficiency or ability to learn EndNote reference manager, Graphpad data analysis software, and FlowJo flow cytometry analysis software </li></ul> <p>Modes of Work</p> <p>Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
