Working to secure Protection and Control Systems; relays, RTUs, carrier sets, Ethernet Switches and serial servers, controllers, monitors, meters, etc.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Based on education, experience and interview, this opportunity will be filled commensurately at either title. For this posting, minimum requirements are stated at the lower grade. Increased expectations are at the higher grade.</p> <p>Cyber Security Specialist Sr. (grade 7)</p> <p>Cyber Security Specialist (mid-level) (grade 6)</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>Implement/support cyber-security projects within substations.</p> <p>Execute and track problems with device firmware patching.</p> <p>Diagnose and track cyber-security incidents with substations.</p> <p>Manage firewall ACL's</p> <p>Resolve vulnerabilities/firmware updates</p> <p>Provide support/guidance or assist in providing support to interface groups.</p> <p>Train others in all issue related to substation cyber security</p> <p>Create automation/work with vendor on automation tools for inventory tracking and device management</p> <p>Manage intermediate systems for remote access into substation environments</p> <p>Support NERC CIP program for substation environment</p> <p>Participate in CIP Audits</p> <p>Manage passwords for substation devices</p> <p>Manage CIP Baselines for substation environment</p> <p>Support cyber monitoring</p> <p>Test representative device for approval prior to approval for standard</p> <p>Support SCADA applications for reliability and security</p> <p>Maintain reliable operations of the EMS, SCADA and P&C systems</p> <p>Improve and make recommendations to improve the quality and reliability of OT cyber security and related services</p> <p>Define and implement Human Performance Initiative rules and Key Performance Indicators around OT Cyber Security processes.</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related Technical field with one (1) year relevant experience in system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical); OR,</p> <p>High School Diploma/GED with two (2) years relevant experience in IT system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical) or related military or electric utility technical experience; OR,</p> <p>Graduation from an approved Cybersecurity Program; alternatively may have non-degree qualifications (such as hands-on demonstrated ability in a technical interview/assessment).
