<p>About the Role</p> <p>We are seeking a Director, People Data & Analytics to spearhead our global data strategy, governance, and reporting functions. This leader will oversee master data management, data quality, and reporting capabilities, ensuring Uber's people data is structured, accurate, and effectively leveraged. A key focus will be successfully driving Uber's HCM and ATS data migration to Oracle HCM while building scalable data processes that enhance decision-making across the company.</p> <p>This is a high-impact leadership role requiring deep expertise across HR, data management and HCM migrations. This role will also have the ability to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment and serve as a trusted thought partner across P&P (People & Places), Finance, Engineering, and business leaders.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Be a Key Leader of Uber's People Data Strategy - Drive a scalable and secure data model that supports the migration to Oracle HCM while ensuring alignment with our broader HR, Finance, and Engineering teams. </li><li>Oversee Master Data Management (MDM) - Define and implement best practices for employee data governance and security access management, ensuring compliance and consistency across the organization. </li><li>Build and Scale Data Quality Management - Develop monitoring processes, validation frameworks, and governance structures to ensure ongoing data integrity. </li><li>Drive Reporting Excellence - Establish a centralized reporting function, creating a streamlined process for delivering people insights and consolidating over 3,000+ existing reports into an efficient and structured framework. </li><li>Be a Key Player in Uber's HCM Migration - Lead the data aspects of our transition from Workday and ICIMS to Oracle HCM (January 2026) to simplify data structures & minimize manual data entry to increase data quality & process efficiency. </li><li>Enable Self-Service Data Access - Develop intuitive tools and processes that empower Uber's business leaders to access the data they need without reliance on manual reporting. </li><li>Influence & Collaborate with Senior Leaders - Partner with People & Places, Finance, Engineering, and Legal to align on data strategy, governance, and security best practices. </li><li>Lead and Grow a High-Performing Team - Manage and expand a team of data professionals responsible for MDM, reporting, and data quality management, with a focus on developing Uber's long-term people data infrastructure. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>12+ years of experience in People Analytics, HR Data Management, or a related field. </li><li>Prior experience implementing complex HCM migrations (Oracle HCM preferred). </li><li>Experience building data governance frameworks and defining master data management best practices in a global organization. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous leadership experience in a high-growth tech company with global HR data operations. </li><li>Understanding of multi-system HR tech ecosystems (e.g., Workday, ICIMS, ServiceNow, Oracle HCM). </li><li>Experience in data security, compliance, and access management within a large-scale organization. </li><li>Strong ability to balance long-term strategic initiatives with hands-on execution. </li><li>Passion for building data-driven cultures. </li><li>Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration across HR, Finance, Engineering, and business leaders. </li><li>Proven track record of building and scaling centralized reporting functions, particularly in </li></ul> <p>complex, high-growth environments.</p> <ul> <li>Comfortable operating in highly ambiguous, fast-paced environments where documentation and predefined processes may not exist. </li><li>Exceptional problem-solving skills with a bias for action and iterative execution. </li></ul> <p>About the Team</p> <p>The People Data & Analytics team at Uber plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across our People & Places organization. We ensure the integrity, security, and accessibility of our core employee data while driving innovation in people analytics, data governance, and reporting. Our mission is to provide data-driven approaches to help find, develop, and retain people, making it easy for Uber's leaders to access trusted information and make decisions quickly. As Uber undergoes a major transformation in its HR technology landscape, including the migration to Oracle HCM, our team is at the forefront of shaping the future of people data management at scale.</p> <p>For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$230,000 per year - USD$255,500 per year.</p> <p>For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$230,000 per year - USD$255,500 per year.</p> <p>For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
