<p>Are you passionate about helping kids be their best selves?</p> <p>UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support the office in Monroeville.</p> <p>Clinical and injection experience preferred. Pediatric experience is a plus.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Patient Care: Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, labs, and assist physicians with procedures. Document patient information and relay instructions. </li><li>Clinic Operations: Prepare and clean patient rooms, manage inventory, and ensure infection control. </li><li>Administrative Tasks: Schedule appointments, verify insurance, manage charts, and handle front office duties. </li><li>Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and PA Department of Health regulations. Maintain strict confidentiality. </li><li>Support: Assist patients with walking, transfers, dressing, and collecting specimens. Answer calls and provide patient education. </li><li>Medication Administration: Administer injectable medication and vaccines under physician supervision. </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Prior pediatric office experience strongly preferred. </li><li>Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology. </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:</p> <ul> <li>CPR certification within 30 days of hire. </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) </li><li>Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73. </li></ul> <p>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p> <p>Rate and Title will be determined based on education and experience.</p>
