The successful candidate will deliver instruction and maintain continuity of learning in a well-established program, supporting students in both classroom and laboratory/shop settings.</p> <p>Courses Assigned:</p> <ul> <li>Agricultural Mechanics </li><li>Animal Science </li><li>Foundations of Agriscience </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work collaboratively with a dynamic team of AgriScience educators to teach a variety of AgriScience education courses in accordance with state, national and local standards. </li><li>Implement existing curriculum and lesson plans aligned to course standards and program expectations. </li><li>Deliver instruction that integrates hands-on, experiential learning in both classroom and lab/shop environments. </li><li>Supervise and ensure safe use of tools, equipment, and facilities in agricultural mechanics settings. </li><li>Facilitate student learning in topics such as animal systems, basic agricultural principles, and applied mechanical skills. </li><li>Assess student progress (including SAE) and maintain accurate records of grades and attendance. </li><li>Communicate effectively with students, families, and department staff to support student success. </li><li>Uphold all school and district policies, including safety protocols specific to agricultural education environments. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>CT Certification Required </li><li>CT Teaching Endorsement 040 - Agriculture, PreK-12 </li></ul> <p>or</p> <ul> <li>CT Teaching Endorsement 041 - Vocational Agriculture, 7-12 </li></ul> <p>Applications accepted online at GLASTONBURY PUBLIC SCHOOLS APPLITRACK website; https://www.applitrack.com/glastonbury/onlineapp/default.aspx</p> <p>JOB ID #2608</p> <p>GLASTONBURY PUBLIC SCHOOLS IS COMMITTED TO INCLUSIVE WORK ENVIRONMENTS.
