<p>Machine Shop Apprentice</p> <p>Company: Rieke LLC</p> <p>Primary Location: 82oo Innovation Campus Way West, New Albany, OH 43054 USA</p> <p>Workplace Type: On-site</p> <p>Employment Type: Hourly | Full-Time</p> <p>Function: Manufacturing Production / Distribution</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled</p> <p>Main Duties & Responsibilities</p> <p>The Machine Shop Apprentice will work under the supervision of experienced machinists and fabricators to learn the fundamentals of machining, fabrication, equipment setup, and shop safety. This is an entry-level training position with a strong emphasis on developing skills needed to operate, maintain, and eventually program manual and CNC machinery in a production environment.</p> <p>Assist in setup and operation of manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.)</p> <p>Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings</p> <p>Follow machining instructions and standard operating procedures</p> <p>Measure, inspect, and verify machined parts for accuracy using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)</p> <p>Perform general shop tasks such as deburring, cleaning, and organizing parts</p> <p>Maintain a clean and safe work environment; follow all safety and PPE requirements</p> <p>Shadow senior machinists and participate in hands-on training</p> <p>Complete entry level safety program within machine shop.</p> <p>Participate in basic maintenance of equipment</p> <p>Document work and track training milestones</p> <p>Reporting on the performance of the quality management system and on opportunities for improvement to management.</p> <p>Ensuring the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization and in particular, your area of responsibility.</p> <p>Ensuring that the integrity of the quality management system is maintained when changes to the quality management system are planned and implemented.</p> <p>Ensuring that the processes are delivering their intended outputs.</p> <p>Support all EHS activities and strictly adhere to all work instructions and safety procedures.</p> <p>Immediately report any unsafe or unhealthy working condition to your supervisor/leadership.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications and Skills:</p> <p>High school diploma or GED required</p> <p>Strong interest in manufacturing, mechanical work, or machining</p> <p>Basic math and measurement skills</p> <p>Ability to follow written and verbal instructions</p> <p>Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.</p> <p>Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team</p> <p>Dependable attendance and punctuality</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Benefit offerings include Medical Insurance and Prescription Drugs, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability Insurance (for eligible employees), Employee Assistance Plan (EAP), Paid Time Off (may include vacation and sick time), Retirement Program, and Other Voluntary Benefits.</p> <p>Click here for more information: www.trimasbenefits.com</p>
