<p>Join our team as a School Counselor at Pelham Memorial School!</p> <p>Home to more than 1600 students, the Pelham School District is comprised of three schools serving Pre-K through 12th grade students. Supported by Administrative and professional teams, successful candidates will help support our District goals which are to make Pelham one of the best places to work and having an excellent culture and belonging within our workplace.</p> <p>About the Position:</p> <p>School Counselors work on a collaborative team to manage their individual caseloads focused on college and career planning and developing academic, career, and personal/social skills, goals and plans. School counselors provide direct services through their counseling curriculum, individual student planning, and preventative/responsive services. Our school counselors are able to maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians, administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders to provide information that will serve the best interstes of the students.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assists all students, individually or in groups, with developing academic, career and personal/social skills, goals, and plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Accurately and appropriately interprets and utilizes student data.</p> </li><li> <p>Plans transitions for students, as appropriate, and assists with recommendations for futures' planning.</p> </li><li> <p>Uses appropriate counseling processes and techniques for individual or group sessions to meet the development, preventative and remedial needs of the students.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides appropriate information to staff related to the Comprehensive School Counseling Program.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists teachers and staff with integration of guidance activities into the curriculum</p> </li><li> <p>Assists teachers, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders in interpreting and understanding district and statewide testing results.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in professional development activities to improve knowledge and skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Uses available technology resources to enhance the school counseling program.</p> </li><li> <p>Adheres to laws, policies, procedures and ethical standards of the school counseling profession.</p> </li><li> <p>All other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>A Master's degree from an accredited educational institution in education and/or a related field. State of New Hampshire certification or be eligible for New Hampshire certification.</p> <p>What We Offer:</p> <p>This is a full-time, school year position working 186 days per year with additional workdays per CBA. It is covered under our Pelham Education Association (PEA) collective bargaining agreement. Salary, benefits and additional association benefits are in accordance with our collective bargaining agreement which can be found on our website under Department __> Human Resources.</p> <p>Selection Process:</p> <p>Our interview process is designed for you to learn about our District and why Pelham is a great place to work! Our selection process typically includes an initial phone interview, followed by an in-person interview with school administration and the Superintendent of Schools. The final step in the hiring process is nomination by the School Board.</p>
