This position involves assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic health conditions, including addiction recovery and pain management, to improve patient outcomes. The FNP collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans that integrate evidence-based practices in addiction medicine and critical care. Patient education is a key component, empowering individuals to understand their health conditions and treatment options, including chemotherapy when applicable. Ultimately, the FNP contributes to enhancing the quality of life for patients by providing compassionate, holistic, and continuous care within the healthcare and social assistance sector.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. </li><li>Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Tennessee. </li><li>Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) or equivalent. </li><li>Experience in mental health, addiction treatment, or related clinical settings. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with addiction and recovery patient administration and management. </li><li>Certification or training in addiction medicine or substance use disorder treatment. </li><li>Background in patient education and counseling techniques. </li><li>Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare informatics. </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations for adult patients, focusing on mental health and addiction-related conditions. </li><li>Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address addiction recovery, pain management, and other critical care needs. </li><li>Prescribe and manage medications, including those used in addiction medicine, while monitoring patient responses and side effects. </li><li>Provide patient education on disease prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term recovery and wellness. </li><li>Collaborate with physicians, medical professionals, therapists, social workers and staff members to coordinate multidisciplinary care and ensure continuity of treatment. </li><li>Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. </li><li>Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with advances in nursing practice and addiction treatment methodologies. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <p>The required skills such as mental health expertise, addiction treatment, and pain management are essential for accurately assessing patient needs and delivering effective care plans. Nurse Practitioner skills enable autonomous clinical decision-making and medication management, ensuring safe and appropriate treatment. Patient education skills are utilized daily to communicate complex health information clearly and compassionately, fostering patient engagement and adherence. Knowledge of chemotherapy and critical care allows the practitioner to manage complex cases and coordinate specialized treatments. Together, these skills support a holistic approach to patient care, emphasizing recovery, wellness, and continuous improvement in health outcomes.</p>
