<p>Job Description</p> <p>ECU Health</p> <p>About ECU Health Physicians</p> <p>ECU Health Physicians is multi-specialty group with over 600 providers in more than 140 primary and specialty clinics across more than 110 locations in eastern North Carolina.</p> <p>ECU Health Multispecialty Clinic - Tarboro combines local doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who have years of experience caring for the community, with a brand-new state-of the-art medical facility offering integrated, convenient and patient-centered care.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Phlebotomist is responsible for providing professional and courteous service to all patients, visitors, and employees of our facility. The phlebotomist performs certain clinical tasks that he/she has been approved to perform through an educational or clinical check-off by a qualified member of the staff to include specimen collection and patient education. In addition to this, the phlebotomist is responsible for all clerical duties associated with maintaining a well-organized laboratory.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Employee must have a high school diploma, GED or higher</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to communicate effectively</p> </li><li> <p>Graduate of an accredited phlebotomy program with at least two years of experience preferred and ASCP or equivalent certification eligible</p> </li><li> <p>Two years secretarial experience in a medical facility preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Computer skills include basic data entry and word processing.
