<p>OVERVIEW</p> <p>Merrick is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer to serve in a variety of energy markets, including refining, midstream, and downstream oil & gas, power, and renewable fuels. This is a direct-hire position and can be located at our Tulsa, OK, Greenwood Village, CO, Florida or Richmond, VA offices.</p> <p>This position requires a BS in Electrical Engineering. The successful candidate shall have passed the FE/EIT exam, applied for the exam, or be working toward PE licensure.</p> <p>WHAT YOU'LL DO</p> <p>The electrical engineering I position will include the following key responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Under the direct supervision of senior engineers, develop electrical design documents and drawings </li><li>Perform simple electrical calculations, including voltage drop, conduit fill, lighting, and grounding </li><li>Develop datasheets for electrical equipment, including motors, transformers, VFDs, UPS </li><li>Develop specifications for electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, MCCs </li><li>Support in development of electrical drawings, including one-line drawings, electrical schematics, electrical equipment layout, hazardous area classification, and grounding layout </li><li>Candidate shall have excellent communication skills and technical writing skills </li><li>Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality </li><li>Travel to client project sites to support field walk-downs and as-built efforts </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Zero (0) - Four (4) years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in energy, oil and gas, or other industrial process industries. </li><li>Experience developingone-line drawings, control schematics, and wiring diagrams, electrical equipment specifications, power plans, conduit plans, cable schedules, etc. </li><li>Working knowledge of technical Codes and Standards: NEC, IEEE, NFPA, IEC, etc. </li><li>Proficient in using Microsoft Office Excel & Word </li><li>Familiarity with AutoCAD, REVIT, or other design software </li><li>Strong GPA of 3.0 or higher is strongly preferred </li><li>A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited college is required </li><li>Local candidates strongly preferred </li></ul> <p>PERKS</p> <ul> <li>Employee Owned - all eligible U.S. employees have an Employee Stock Ownership Account. </li><li>Robust Employee Referral Program. </li><li>Annual performance and compensation reviews. </li><li>Professional Training and Development. </li><li>Employee Recognition Awards. </li><li>Peer Mentor Program </li><li>And Much More! </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION</p> <ul> <li>Apply online only.
