<p>SUMMARY</p> <p>Provides a variety of customer savings, checking and credit account transactions, as well as other customer services</p> <p>JOB REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Cash handling experience preferred </li><li>Good interpersonal communication and computer skills </li></ul> <p>SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for comprehensive, prompt and efficient customer transactions </li><li>Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement </li><li>Cashes checks and processes withdrawals; pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances </li><li>Promotes and explains other bank services. Cross-sells bank services such as safe deposit boxes, credit cards, etc. </li><li>Receives consumer loan and other payments from customers ensuring that bank criteria for accepting such payments are met </li><li>Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds, when applicable </li><li>Issues money orders, stop payments and cashes U.S. Savings Bonds </li><li>Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift and reports any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary </li><li>Ensures that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc. </li><li>Reports malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller station </li><li>Is responsible for checking night depository bags and recording proper information on the bank's forms </li><li>Operates within compliance rules and standards </li><li>Performs other duties as required </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
