<p>Responsibilities for this Position</p> <p>South Yard Assembly Building Operator</p> <p>US-CT-Groton</p> <p>Job ID: 2025-17063</p> <p>Type: Full-Time</p> <p># of Openings: 4</p> <p>Category: Maintenance</p> <p>EB Groton Shipyard</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>This South Yard Assembly Building (SYAB) operator position is for the Facilities trade organization.</p> <p>This SYAB operator position and will be responsible for the following SYAB systems which are located in Building 601:</p> <ul> <li>Low pressure power house rounds and preventive maintenance </li><li>Pure Water rounds, generation and preventive maintenance. </li><li>Building Automation System (BAS) alarm monitoring. </li><li>Building Management System (BMS) alarm monitoring. </li><li>Land Based Steam (LBS) boiler rounds. </li></ul> <p>Candidate will report to D501.</p> <p>Candidate must be capable of working with outside contractors and vendors. Candidate must be qualified and/or have the ability to qualify and maintain a Grade A Qualification.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED, OR have 2+ years of related technical experience </li><li>2+ years of ship yard experience </li><li>basic computer experience and knowledge is required </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Trade/technical School graduate and/or Technical certificate are desired </li><li>Experience with troubleshooting, testing and maintaining low pressure air systems and compressors. </li><li>Experience with Grade "A" and Steam Plant Clean systems </li><li>Experience with BAS and BMS systems </li><li>Experience with High Pressure Boilers </li></ul>
