The Superintendent will oversee field operations for complex construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires significant experience in MEP systems and out-of-ground construction, and a strong ability to coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead and supervise daily on-site construction activities from project start through closeout. </li><li>Manage subcontractors, field staff, and trades to ensure adherence to schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards. </li><li>Oversee installation and coordination of MEP systems and major structural components. </li><li>Monitor project progress, resolve field issues, and proactively address potential delays. </li><li>Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Architects to maintain design and specification compliance. </li><li>Conduct regular site inspections, safety meetings, and quality control checks. </li><li>Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to anticipate and prevent issues in the field. </li><li>Maintain detailed daily reports, logs, and documentation of site activities. </li><li>Ensure compliance with all local building codes, permitting requirements, and company standards. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>10-15 years of superintendent experience in construction, with a proven track record in MEP coordination and out-of-ground projects. </li><li>Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and safety practices. </li><li>Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to direct diverse teams. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing conditions on-site. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency with construction technology platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project is preferred. </li><li>OSHA certification is preferred. </li><li>Experience with project management, change orders, and real estate development. </li><li>Familiarity with software such as Procore and Sage. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position is based in Stamford, CT, working onsite from 7am to 4pm. The project involves a Class A Luxury Building with 354 units. The Superintendent and Project Manager will be the only employees onsite.
