<p>Admissions Counselor II</p> <p>USC Marshall School of Business</p> <p>Marshall Graduate Admissions</p> <p>The Admissions Counselor will support the functions of the MBA admissions team by managing admissions inquiries, providing exemplary service to prospective students and applicants, managing and reviewing applications, coordinating communication with applicants during the application process, assisting with data collection and reporting, and working with other USC and Marshall departments to manage internal and external information flows. The Admissions Counselor will also assist in developing recruiting and outreach programs for prospective applicants. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, comfortable in decision making and counseling of applicants, organized and skilled in project management, and an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Duties</p> <ul> <li>Reviews student applications in coordination with the MBA admissions committee using approved rubrics and guidelines </li><li>Counsels applicants one-on-one on admission policies and procedures. Evaluates and offers solutions to applicant problems and requests regarding admission. </li><li>Coordinates and conducts interviews of prospective students and provides feedback to the admissions committee as required </li><li>Maintains knowledge USC financial aid processes to effectively guide applicants to ensure their financial aid requests are processed in a timely and correct manner </li><li>Provides outstanding customer service to applicants and prospective applicants </li><li>Communicates with prospective students by telephone, email, web conference, through online presentations and in person to advise prospective students on the MBA program and other USC Marshall graduate programs </li><li>Inputs all activity into CRM/database systems in a timely and accurate manner and runs reports as needed </li><li>Assists in recruitment planning and activities </li><li>Assists in the planning and coordination of event logistics, orientations, commencement, and other program activities </li><li>Stays current on a wide range of university policies, school-wide policies, and educational trends affecting graduate students and admissions/recruitment practices for professional programs </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned </li><li>Works on weekends and evenings, as needed </li><li>Available for occasional travel to recruiting events and conferences </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Masters degree in education focusing on a student affairs-related field </li><li>3 years of experience in graduate admissions </li><li>Student program or services experience </li><li>Experience supporting online courses and programs </li><li>Knowledge of USC student and academic programs, policies and procedures, and USC's Student Information System </li><li>Knowledge of Salesforce used in higher education admissions or related function </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications </li></ul> <p>Anticipated Hiring Range:</p> <p>The annual base salary range for this position is $66,962.45 - $86,396.60.
