<p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our GC Specials team. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in chemistry and possess analytical instrument test experience. This role involves the complex and custom hand assembly of gas chromatograph instruments, ensuring the highest quality and precision.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform complex and custom hand assembly of gas chromatograph instruments, adhering to detailed specifications and quality standards. </li><li>Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure accurate and efficient assembly processes. </li><li>Conduct functional and performance testing of assembled instruments to verify proper operation and adherence to specifications. </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve assembly and testing issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results, and any modifications made. </li><li>Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. </li><li>Continuously improve assembly techniques and processes to enhance efficiency and quality. </li><li>Ensure compliance with ISO9001 standards and contribute to maintaining certification. </li><li>Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and reduce waste. </li><li>Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues promptly. </li><li>Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements and participate in team meetings. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Possession of higher education or specialized training/certification, such as an associate's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>Typically requires 1-3 years of relevant experience for entry-level positions. </li><li>Demonstrated experience and/or a strong interest in chemistry and analytical instruments. </li><li>Familiarity with gas chromatograph instruments and their components is highly desirable. </li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and precision in assembly work. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively. </li><li>Strong communication and teamwork skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. </li><li>Proficient in computer and technical skills. </li></ul> <p>Additional Details</p> <p>This job has a full time weekly schedule. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
