The Purchasing Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that materials, supplies and services are purchased at the right time, from the right sources, at the best possible value. This position focuses on executing daily purchasing activities, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and supporting the Company's Production and Operations teams.</p> <p>Duties and responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders in a timely manner. </li><li>Request and evaluate supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery terms. </li><li>Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms within defined guidelines. </li><li>Monitor order status, follow up with suppliers, and resolve discrepancies (delays, shortages, or quality issues). </li><li>Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier files, and contract documentation. </li><li>Collaborate with demand planning, inventory control, production, and logistics teams to ensure material availability. </li><li>Track supplier performance and provide feedback to Procurement Manager. </li><li>Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and approved supplier lists. </li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and cost savings. </li><li>Additional duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Skill and Experience Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (desired). </li><li>1+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations. </li><li>Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. </li><li>Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). </li><li>Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset. </li></ul> <p>An essential element of Bonide culture is our commitment to diversity.
