The Global Broadband Operations team's mission is to provide reliable internet service to our customers around the globe. We are connecting the unconnected in many parts of the world which are gaining access to the internet for the first time. We work with engineering teams across the company to improve on the reliability, resiliency, scalability, and performance of our production services. Being a Production Engineering team requires a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end system, a relentless drive towards improving customer experience, and a collaborative approach to solving difficult problems. The day-to-day As a key member of the team, you will use your talents to fulfill the following responsibilities: Active contribution in CI pipeline creation and automation Code, perform unit, integration and performance tests Create deployment scripts, support/debug deployment pipelines Participate in production support (on-call rotation) Investigate and resolve technical issues Present status/design/issues to the team or wider audience Attribute to a team culture that values effective collaboration, technical perfection, and innovation What you'll need 5+ years of automation and CI/CD development Knowledge in Jenkins, Github actions, Git and JIRA Experience with Bash and Ansible development Sh Experience Linux systems programming with java or python Strong understanding of Linux systems Experience working on an agile devops team Experience in networking and firewall basics Strong oral and written communication skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relatable fields Up to 10% of travel What will help you on the job Experience in AWS or other cloud environments Understanding of Linux systems and software security DHCP, DNS, LDAP, web servers, load balancing, radius Experience with Kubernetes or Containers Salary range $135,500.00 - $214,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $168,500.00- $252,500.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience.
