<p>Position Title: WIC Program Nutritionist</p> <p>Department: WIC</p> <p>Supervisor: Senior Nutritionist</p> <p>Status/Hours Per Week: Full Time - 35hrs/week</p> <p>Pay Range: The expected base pay for the position is $28-$37 per hour and may be increased based on other factors, such as language, certifications, etc.</p> <p>Primary Function:</p> <p>The WIC Program Nutritionist provides nutrition services and benefits to WIC participants under the supervision of the Senior Nutritionist.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluate participants' needs. </li><li>Assess, counsel, and provide nutrition education to WIC participants. </li><li>Provide breastfeeding support and resources to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. </li><li>Assist in the development of educational materials and activities. </li><li>Facilitate group nutrition education activities. </li><li>Schedule appointments, make reminder phone calls and answer participant questions. </li><li>Reliable transportation and availability to work at all WIC sites in Dorchester, Mattapan and Hyde Park. </li><li>Assist in training WIC staff, agency staff, providers and other agencies on nutrition or WIC topics. </li><li>Collaborate with healthcare providers and other agencies to coordinate and increase quality of care. </li><li>Participate in quality assurance activities. </li><li>Perform other duties as required by the position or as assigned by supervisor. </li></ul> <p>This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all the activities, duties and/or responsibilities that are required of this position.
