We encourage you to apply and become a valued member of our vibrant campus community today!</p> <p>Why Choose Us?</p> <p>At the University of Wyoming, we value our employees and invest in their success.</p> <p>JOB TITLE:</p> <p>CASM Tutor</p> <p>JOB PURPOSE:</p> <p>Provide support to students with questions in mathematics and/or statistics for the Center for Assistance with Statistics and Mathematics (CASM).</p> <p>JFNTMP</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Tutor for Center for Assistance with Statistics and Mathematics (CASM), and, if assigned, tutor for STEP and/or STEP Satellite.</p> <ul> <li>As a tutor, primary job responsibilities will be addressing student questions regarding their math/stat courses. </li><li>Tutors will be required to follow and enforce CASM policy and procedure, and if assigned to STEP or STEP Satellite, follow and enforce STEP policy and procedure. </li><li>Tutors will need to have excellent time management skills. </li><li>Tutors need to be excellent and flexible communicators via email, and in-person. </li><li>New tutors are required to attend regular tutor content trainings. </li><li>New tutors are required to attend CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) trainings unless they have a Level 1 certification. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Education:?Some college </li><li>Experience:??Some college math/stat and/or tutoring experience </li></ul> <p>Other requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge proficiency in mathematics up to Calculus II and/or Fundamentals of Statistics </li><li>Must be a currently enrolled UW student. </li><li>For math tutors successful completion of Calculus 1-3 with a B average or higher OR Calculus 1-2 with a B average or higher and prior tutoring experience. </li><li>For stat tutors successful completion of Stat 2050 (Fundamentals of Statistics) or equivalent with a B or higher AND either additional statistics experience OR math and programing experience. </li></ul> <p>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Previous Tutoring Experience</p> <p>REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS:</p> <p>Complete the online application.
