<p>Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to support an award winning organization in the Raleigh Durham, North Carolina area. The Sr. Software Engineer role is hybrid requiring 3 days onsite in the office. The Sr. Software Engineer will work within the Internal IT group supporting and enhancing critical enterprise systems, including CRM platforms, with a strong emphasis on customization, integrations, and modern full-stack engineering. The Sr. Software Engineer will lead a small group of engineers.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Sr. Software Engineer:</p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and enhance internal applications using Node.js, React, and AWS. </li><li>Support and customize CRM and other internal systems, ensuring seamless integrations across platforms. </li><li>Lead a small engineering team consisting of one internal engineer and two offshore resources. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions. </li><li>Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and best-practice implementation. </li><li>Troubleshoot technical issues and drive continuous improvement across internal systems. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications of the Sr. Software Engineer:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience as a software engineer with expertise in Node.js and React. </li><li>Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications in AWS environments. </li><li>Experience supporting or customizing enterprise systems, ideally CRM platforms. </li><li>Prior leadership experience working with onshore and/or offshore teams. </li><li>Strong understanding of integration patterns, APIs, and modern software engineering practices. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree </li></ul> <p>Compensation for the Sr. Software Engineer includes:</p> <ul> <li>Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 depending on experience </li><li>Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO </li><li>Remote or hybrid flexibility depending on client needs </li></ul> <p>This job opens for applications on 02/16/2026.
