<p>Day Kimball Health is hiring for a Junior Volunteer Coordinator for Volunteer Department as a 40 hour Temporary role (6/23/2025 to 8/19/2025) 1st Shift in Putnam, CT.</p> <p>Junior Volunteer Coordinator Summary:</p> <p>As the Junior Volunteer Coordinator, you will be a vital member of a dynamic team responsible for…</p> <p>Coordinates and assists in the direction of the Summer Junior Volunteer Program.</p> <p>Junior Volunteer Coordinator Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provides training and on-going supervision of the Junior volunteers. </li><li>Schedules the Junior Volunteers daily. </li><li>Coordinates and assigns Junior Volunteers throughout the hospital. </li><li>Develops an evaluation instrument and conducts on-going evaluations and end-of-summer evaluations </li><li>Performs special projects and fundraisers as assigned, and assists the coordinator as required </li><li>Performs additional duties as may by required under the direction of the Coordinator of Volunteer Services </li><li>Assists with other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Junior Volunteer Coordinator Education and Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school graduate or equivalent. </li><li>Computer skills required. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Publisher and mainframe system entry </li><li>Ability to make decisions, assess problems and determine whether to refer to a supervisor. Understanding and tact in dealing with patients, families, visitors, and/or volunteers. Maintains discretion in handling the confidential nature of the information in the department and hospital. Ability to adapt to a variety of situations, changes in duties and department requirements. Displays verbal ability and clerical perception.
